Packet Media is based in Stoke-on-Trent and was formed in April 2002 by two telecommunications professionals with about 35 years of experience in product engineering, development, marketing and sales. Packet Media started life as a VoIP network linking Docklands Telehouse Internet exchange to GSM Gateways located at regional airport sites. The network terminated carrier mobile traffic, inbound to the UK as IP data, on to the four UK GSM mobile networks. In November 2003 the company changed business focus to provide local fixed-to-mobile solutions from a range of GSM Gateway equipment.

Today Packet Media provide billing analysis, cost management solutions, managed services, site survey, equipment supply, installation and mobile network connectivity plus maintenance and support from our technical centre.
